Our Background
Freeport Self Storage is a family-owned and operated self storage facility located in beautiful Freeport, NY. We have been serving our community since 1997. In 2017, we broke ground for our expansion and opened the doors to a brand new, state-of-the-art facility in October of 2018.
This expansion allowed us to provide additional services to our growing customer base while modernizing our facility as a whole.
We continue to update our facilities on a constant basis in order to provide the best service to our customers. We pride ourselves on helping our customers, not selling to them. That means providing stress-free storage unit rentals along with our clean, safe, and secure facilities.
In addition to the services we provide, and as part of a community that has supported our business for over 20 years, we take special care to ensure that we give back to and support them, too.
Who We Serve
Freeport Self Storage is located in the heart of Freeport, NY, at 73 E. Merrick Road, at the Home Depot / Staples shopping center. Our self storage facility is easily reached by car via Merrick Road or Sunrise Highway, 1/4-mile west of the Meadowbrook Parkway.
NICE buses and the Long Island Railroad also make local stops near our facility. Our proximity to major roads makes us an extremely convenient option.
Meet Our Furry Storage Expert
If you've visited Freeport Self Storage, odds are you've already met Georgie, our resident yellow Labrador and head of hospitality. Calm and patient, with a watchful eye, she's always excited to come to work.
On any given day, you might find Georgie making the rounds with our staff, greeting customers at the office, or stationed somewhere she can take a snooze. She takes her role seriously, just never too seriously.
More than a mascot, Georgie is a reminder of what we aim for every day: welcoming, reliable, and genuinely glad you stopped by. Some customers say they come to the facility just to see Georgie, and their disappointment shows when she takes a much needed day off.
