Freeport Self Storage Hosts Community Wrestling Benefit for Tunnel to Towers
On Saturday, August 29, 2026, Freeport Self Storage welcomed approximately 300 neighbors to our facility in Freeport, New York, for a free community professional wrestling event presented by Create A Pro Wrestling Academy. The event also featured a free autograph signing with TNA Tag Team Champion Brian Myers.
The afternoon brought local families together for live professional wrestling, free food, ice cream, and family-friendly entertainment while raising money for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
One of the day’s most memorable moments came just before the opening bell, when the Freeport Fire Department’s Ladder Company raised the American flag for the national anthem.
We are especially grateful to Yelp’s local Community Manager, whose generosity helped make this community event possible. We also thank Create A Pro Wrestling Academy, the Freeport Fire Department, our volunteers, community partners, and everyone who attended or donated for helping us create a memorable day for families from Freeport and surrounding Nassau County communities.

Freeport Self Storage is proud to support the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, a nonprofit established in honor of FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller, who gave his life while helping others on September 11, 2001.
Tunnel to Towers supports America’s heroes by providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star families and the families of fallen first responders, building specially adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders, and helping veterans experiencing homelessness.

Many people have to pay to recycle, and we strongly believe that it shouldn’t cost you anything to do your part in keeping our community clean by engaging in environmental activities like recycling. You can recycle cardboard from your storage unit at our facility, and we’ll recycle it for you at no cost.

To show our appreciation for those who defend and serve our country, we’re proud to offer military discounts.
Charitable Causes
Through organizations such as Island Harvest, The Freeport Little League, and Operation Splash, we are able to support important causes in a community that has supported our business for so long.

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation honors the first responders and military heroes who ran toward danger, and it stands behind the families they left behind.
